The Position
The Program Manager is responsible for the administrative and operational matters of the men’s rugby club of the University of Tennessee. This position will coordinate activities and programming with the team, the Volunteer Rugby Foundation, and university departments.
This position is a contract employee of the Volunteer Rugby Foundation and supervised and managed by the UT Rugby Director of Rugby. Additionally, the Volunteer Rugby Foundation provides full allowance and reimbursement for all approved and related expenses.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Team Operations
- Coordinate schedules and related communications
- Coordinate all aspects of team travel.
- Monitor and supervise all activities related to compliance and eligibility.
Communications
- Coordinate communications with players, parents and alumni on team related events and activities.
- Coordinate communications and maintain active recruiting lists in all areas of on and off campus.
- Maintain relationship with USA Rugby, Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference, and other rugby organizations as required.
Apparel and Merchandising
- Oversees inventory, sales and distribution of apparel and merchandise.
- Management of player and team apparel.
Events Management
- Management of club events including coordination of events with the Volunteer Rugby Foundation.
- Camps and Clinics
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-3 years team / club management experience (collegiate preferred).

Rugby was founded on the campus of the University of Tennessee in 1970.
